Jakarta Food Prices on Monday (September 2nd): Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (2/9/2024) at 14.25 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, medium-grain rice, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, Indian mackerel, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices increased the most, by Rp1,460 (4.97%) to Rp30,860 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken decreased the most, by Rp1,190 (3.28%) to Rp35,140 per kg.
