Jakarta's Latest Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (21/9/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, shallots, medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, whole garlic cloves, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most, by Rp10,520 (30.51%) to Rp45,000 per kg. The price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp6,070 (16.83%) to Rp30,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 18 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on September 21, 2024, at 08.37 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Red Chili Peppers: Rp45,000 per kg (up 2.2%)
3. Milkfish: Rp45,000 per kg (up 11.06%)
4. Mackerel: Rp45,000 per kg (up 30.51%)
5. Whole Garlic Cloves: Rp40,000 per kg (down 1.28%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp40,000 per kg (up 14.51%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (down 3.5%)
8. Shallots: Rp32,000 per kg (up 3.39%)
9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp30,000 per kg (down 16.83%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,000 per kg (down 5.45%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,500 per liter (up 2.78%)
12. Premium Rice: Rp18,000 per kg (up 14.58%)
13. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,500 per kg (down 5.3%)
