10 Provinces with the Highest Fresh Chicken Egg Prices (Friday, May 12, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of fresh chicken eggs (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 32,560 per kg, data as of Friday, May 12, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 32,400 per kg.

The daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in North Maluku was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 52,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of fresh chicken eggs in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 27,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Central Sulawesi, fresh chicken eggs were sold at Rp 45,850 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of fresh chicken eggs in Gorontalo was Rp 41,150 per kg, East Nusa Tenggara Rp 39,700 per kg, and West Papua Rp 38,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 19 provinces with fresh chicken egg sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for fresh chicken eggs are Jambi, West Sulawesi, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
