Current Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (3/5/2024) at 14:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are milkfish, chicken eggs, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, shallots, red chilies, premium rice, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase of Rp120 (0.9%) to Rp13,390 per kg. Red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,940 (6.58%) to Rp27,550 per kg.
