Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Red Chili, and Egg Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (23/9/2025) at 2:28 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 14 increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include SPHP rice, consumption salt, curly red chili, broiler chicken meat, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as mackerel, packaged wheat flour, premium rice, skipjack tuna, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,178 (2.61%) to Rp46,285 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird''s eye chili price fell the sharpest by Rp348 (0.99%) to Rp34,925 per kg.
