Latest West Java Food Prices: Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Food prices in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (19/8/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken meat, dry soybeans (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp670 (1.81%) to Rp37,660 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel decreased the most sharply by Rp2,500 (6.42%) to Rp36,460 per kg.
