Current Food Prices in East Java: Rice Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (20/11/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, shallots, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, red chilies, red cayenne peppers, farmer-level corn, and iodized fine salt have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest at Rp1,390 (4.72%) to Rp30,820 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel decreased the most at Rp2,040 (6.09%) to Rp31,470 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on November 20, 2024, at 09.12 WIB.

8. Red Cayenne Peppers: Rp27,570 per kg (down 1.08%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,210 per kg (up 0.04%)
