Latest Food Prices in West Java: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Friday, January 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (12/1/2024) at 13:13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, garlic bulbs, iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, mackerel, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of garlic bulbs increased the most, by Rp190 (0.52%) to Rp36,860 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the least, by Rp4,190 (6.37%) to Rp61,600 per kg.
