Current Indonesian Food Prices: Salt and Chili Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (29/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, red chili peppers, milkfish, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most by Rp790 (2.47%) to Rp32,810 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices decreased the most sharply by Rp680 (2.17%) to Rp30,590 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,110 per kg (down 0.14%)
