Yogyakarta Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Monday, February 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (February 5th, 2024) at 09.03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 saw price increases and 4 saw price decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include red chilies, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp7,020 (13.56%) to Rp58,780 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp570 (4.9%) to Rp11,060 per kg.
