Food Prices in East Java, Sunday (August 4th): What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (4/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most by Rp1,810 (5.73%) to Rp33,390 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply by Rp900 (9.48%) to Rp8,590 per kg.
