Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Prices of Salt, Chilies, and Rice Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (18/10/2024) at 09.46 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, Indian mackerel, curly red chilies, broiler chicken, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp340 (2.9%) to Rp12,070 per kg. Red onion prices, on the other hand, saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp1,160 (4.77%) to Rp23,160 per kg.
