Daily Red Chili Prices in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Increased by 37.55% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 16:23 WIB, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in Central Java Province showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp50,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 2.52% from the previous record of Rp67,350 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in this province was in February 2017, with an increase of 87.36%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017, with a decrease of -43.13%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Central Java show six commodities decreased and 17 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Medium-Sized White Onions, Beef, White Onions, Granulated Sugar, Grade 2 Beef, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in Central Java Province:

7. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp45,300 (up 2.6%)
8. Red Chili per Kg Rp73,400 (up 36.05%)
9. Medium Quality Rice I per Kg Rp15,050 (unchanged)
10. Fresh Chicken Meat per Kg Rp45,300 (up 2.6%)
11. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp21,250 (up 1.19%)
12. Medium-Sized White Onion per Kg Rp52,700 (down 0.66%)
