Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onion and Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (31/10/2024) at 11:57 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, shallots, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, chicken eggs, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was farmer-level corn, up by Rp240 (4.48%) to Rp5,600 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for curly red chilies, down Rp1,760 (9.07%) to Rp17,650 per kg.
