Fresh Chicken Meat Prices at Modern Markets, April 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp39,700 per kg. This price is down Rp4,550 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets has decreased from Rp45,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has fallen by 13.98%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in Central Java Province was traded at Rp46,150 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2025 with an increase of 16.41%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2016 with a decrease of -16.73%.

The PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java recorded 11 commodities decreasing and 14 others increasing. Basic commodities with decreased prices are Cooking Oil, Large Red Chili, Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Grade 2 Beef, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, and Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2.
