Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Friday, April 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (12/4/2024) at 10:17 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, iodized fine salt, farmer-level corn, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp6,490 (22.35%) to Rp35,530 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices decreased the most by Rp1,820 (17.38%) to Rp8,650 per kg.
