Central Java Food Prices Wednesday (20/11): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (20/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, tongkol fish, kembung fish, shallots, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp670 (1.87%) to Rp36,510 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp2,470 (7.61%) to Rp29,980 per kg.
