Bali's Current Food Prices: Salt and Beef Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (5/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, SPHP rice, mackerel, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,310 (9.45%) to Rp38,340 per kg. Red onion prices decreased the most, by Rp890 (4.08%) to Rp20,910 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on August 5, 2024, at 09.34 WIB.

8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,400 per kg (up 2.66%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp24,750 per kg (up 2.06%)
10. Red Onion: Rp20,910 per kg (down 4.08%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,180 per liter (down 2.61%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (down 2.58%)
