Latest Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta: Red Chili Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 22, 2025) at 14:17 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler chicken meat, SPHP rice, consumption salt, curly red chili, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, packaged cooking oil, mackerel, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili prices saw the highest jump of Rp1,318 (4.6%) to Rp30,000 per kg. Red onion prices fell the sharpest by Rp2,125 (4.65%) to Rp43,542 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp32,833 per kg (up 2.99%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (up 4.6%)
9. Garlic Bulb: Rp29,875 per kg (down 1.24%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,167 per kg (up 0.2%)
11. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp25,053 per kg (down 1.23%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,583 per liter (down 0.49%)
