East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Monday, April 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (1/4/2024) at 09.15 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,270 (13.88%) to Rp10,420 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease of Rp1,930 (5.76%) to Rp31,600 per kg.
