Garlic Prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia are the Highest in the Country (Friday, September 9, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of garlic (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 36,860 per kg, data as of Friday, September 9, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 36,800 per kg.

The daily price of garlic in modern markets in Yogyakarta was the most expensive in Indonesia at Rp 66,800 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of garlic in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 73,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Gorontalo's modern markets, garlic was sold at Rp 53,750 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of garlic in Southeast Sulawesi was Rp 52,950 per kg, North Maluku Rp 52,650 per kg, and West Papua Rp 44,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with garlic sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest garlic selling prices are West Sulawesi, South Sumatra, and Riau Islands.
