10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Medium I Quality Rice (Monday, September 19, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of IDR 13,400 per kg for medium-grade I rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Monday, September 19, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of IDR 13,410 per kg.

The price of medium-grade I rice in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi was the highest in Indonesia at IDR 17,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-grade I rice in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was IDR 20,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Banten's modern markets, the price of medium-grade I rice was sold at IDR 16,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-grade I rice in Yogyakarta was IDR 15,650 per kg, West Sumatra IDR 15,300 per kg, and South Sulawesi IDR 14,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 21 provinces with medium-grade I rice sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-grade I rice are East Java, Jambi, and West Sulawesi.
