Food Prices in West Java, Monday (May 27th): What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (27/5/2024) at 16.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, mackerel fish, curly red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, fine iodized salt, and dry soybean seeds (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,200 (2.88%) to Rp42,900 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp110 (2.05%) to Rp5,260 per kg.
