Local White Sugar Price in South Kalimantan Reaches Rp 1.2 Million per Kg (Friday, May 31, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 52,450 per kg, as of Friday, May 31, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 17,580 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in South Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 1.2 million per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Gorontalo's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 23,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in West Papua was Rp 20,400 per kg, Maluku Rp 19,000 per kg, and Aceh Rp 18,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 33 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar are South Sulawesi, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
