Price of Local Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets March 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in Papua province is recorded at Rp19,25 thousand. This price remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price in the last month, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets increased from the previously recorded Rp19,2 thousand .

Meanwhile, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months saw a 0% decrease. According to the historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in Papua province is traded at Rp19,25 thousand.

The record increase in the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2022 with an increase of 39.76%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2022 with a decrease of -28.01%.

According to the PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Papua today show that seven commodities decreased and 13 others increased. The staple foods with price decreases are Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality I Rice and Medium Quality II Rice.
