Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Beef and Rice Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (28/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, granulated sugar, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, shallots, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red curly chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp460 (1.07%) to Rp43,620 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp1,130 (3.42%) to Rp31,870 per kg.
