Rupiah Exchange Rate Strengthens to Rp 15,414 per US Dollar (Monday, November 20, 2023)

As of 10:43 WIB this Monday, November 20, 2023, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market is traded at Rp 15,414 per US dollar. This represents a 0.07% strengthening compared to the previous day's closing rate of Rp 15,424.30 per US dollar. Today's trading is expected to range between Rp 15,364.50 and Rp 15,445 per US dollar.

According to investing.com, the rupiah in the spot market has appreciated by 1.78% in the past week. Compared to 30 days ago, the spot market rupiah has strengthened by 1.92%.

However, over the past year, the rupiah in the spot market has actually weakened (strengthened). The previous highest record in the last year reached Rp 15,935 per US dollar.

For the period January-November 2023, the rupiah in the spot market has continuously strengthened, moving -1.88% compared to the level of Rp 15,710 per US dollar a month ago.

The current condition of the rupiah exchange rate contrasts with most regional currencies, which are strengthening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 7.81 points (-0.60%) to KRW 1288.57 per US dollar, the Japanese yen strengthened by 0.68 points (-0.45%), the Singapore dollar strengthened by 0.26 points (-0.19%), the euro strengthened by 0.01 points (-0.11%), and the Chinese yuan strengthened by 0.0401 points (-0.56%).
