South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Egg, Chicken, and Oil Prices Rise (Saturday, December 30, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:53 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, dry soybeans (import), and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, bulk cooking oil, red chili peppers, bulk wheat flour, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,310 (3.71%) to Rp36,610 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp2,250 (4.09%) to Rp52,700 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp36,110 per kg (down 0.28%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp31,650 per kg (up 0.13%)
8. Milkfish: Rp28,230 per kg (down 0.39%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,690 per kg (up 0.14%)
