Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Sugar, Oil, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (6/1/2025) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, pure beef, broiler chicken, medium rice, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up Rp9,970 (13.81%) to Rp82,160 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the steepest decrease, down Rp90 (1.64%) to Rp5,400 per kg.
