Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (30/10/2024) at 2:58 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, premium rice, chicken eggs, SPHP rice, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp170 (0.56%) to Rp30,690 per kg. Mackerel experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp390 (1.04%) to Rp37,020 per kg.
