Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Onion and Rice Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, red chili peppers, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp1,660 (2.98%) to Rp57,300 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp420 (1.24%) to Rp33,570 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,200 per kg (up 1.5%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp31,000 per kg (up 1.24%)
