Central Java Food Prices Monday (August 5th): Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (August 5, 2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, mackerel, milkfish, farmer-level corn, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp800 (2.56%) to Rp32,000 per kg. Meanwhile, dry soybean (import) experienced the sharpest price decrease of Rp270 (2.56%) to Rp10,290 per kg.
