Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Sugar, Egg, and Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (23/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, milkfish, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, by Rp2,390 (7.12%) to Rp35,940 per kg. Bulk cooking oil prices decreased the most, by Rp300 (1.82%) to Rp16,150 per liter.
