Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (23/7/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, broiler chicken, milkfish, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp110 (2.32%) to Rp4,850 per kg. Red onion prices saw the steepest decrease, falling by Rp450 (1.78%) to Rp24,810 per kg.
