Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (26/11/2024) at 09.49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic bulbs, fine iodized salt, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, medium rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp590 (3.53%) to Rp17,310 per liter. Bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price drop of Rp330 (3.7%) to Rp8,590 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp31,750 per kg (down 2.73%)
7. Milkfish: Rp27,160 per kg (down 1.16%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,620 per kg (down 2.1%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,920 per kg (down 1.52%)
10. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp24,290 per kg (up 1.72%)
