10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Low-Quality Rice (Type II) (Friday, March 18, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 12,150 per kg for low-quality grade II rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, March 18, 2022. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 12,020 per kg.

The price of low-quality grade II rice in modern markets in West Sumatra was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 13,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province remained unchanged. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 14,600 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in East Kalimantan, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 13,300 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice was Rp 12,800 per kg in Bangka Belitung Islands, Rp 12,800 per kg in North Sulawesi, and Rp 12,500 per kg in North Sumatra.

Meanwhile, five provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest prices for low-quality grade II rice were Central Java, East Java, and Jambi.
