Current Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta: Salt Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) at 2:30 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include red onion, medium rice, curly red chili, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, red bird's eye chili, packaged cooking oil, consumption sugar, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt prices rose the highest by Rp273 (2.34%) to Rp11,925 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the most by Rp3,977 (12.84%) to Rp27,000 per kg.
