Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices, Week of May 19th: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 18.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, farmer-level corn, shallots, milkfish, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp470 (10.44%) to Rp4,970 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp370 (3.08%) to Rp11,630 per kg.
