U.S. Politicians Top List of Pandora Papers Tax Haven Reports

The world is currently shocked by the Pandora Papers report revealed by journalists from The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The report exposes a data leak regarding alleged asset concealment in tax havens.

To date, the Pandora Papers contain at least 11.9 million data points mentioning 330 politicians, 130 billionaires, celebrities, fraudsters, drug lords, royals, and religious leaders. Previously, ICIJ also revealed similar data leaks, namely the Panama Papers and Paradise Papers.

Based on data collected by ICIJ, the most numerous entries in the Pandora Papers are American politicians, totaling 92. Second are European politicians, numbering 90.

Politicians from other regions are also included: 68 from Asian countries, 49 from African countries, and 37 from Middle Eastern countries.

The Pandora Papers represent the largest journalistic investigation in the world. Over 600 journalists from 150 media outlets in 117 countries were involved in researching this data. The source of the Pandora Papers data comes from 14 offshore companies.
