Banten Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Wednesday, January 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (31/1/2024) at 09.13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, red chilies, chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,830 (18.98%) to Rp11,470 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp5,140 (15.94%) to Rp27,110 per kg.
