Bali's Latest Food Prices: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Thursday, March 7, 2024)

Food prices in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (7/3/2024) at 09.35 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, milkfish, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, medium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,640 (14.14%) to Rp29,380 per kg. Red chili prices saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp5,970 (8.31%) to Rp65,890 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,850 per kg (up 0.47%)
6. Milkfish: Rp36,770 per kg (up 6.64%)
7. Shallot Bulbs: Rp36,230 per kg (up 1.37%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,380 per kg (up 14.14%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,550 per kg (up 1.82%)
10. Red Onion: Rp27,590 per kg (down 4.13%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,310 per kg (up 0.29%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,080 per liter (down 2.23%)
