Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Shallots Down (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 09.09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, pure beef, dry soybean (import), milkfish, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp4,360 (8.65%) to Rp54,770 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp25,150 (67.03%) to Rp12,370 per kg.
