Jakarta, Indonesia Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (21/11/2024) at 17:52 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, medium-grain rice, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, shallots, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp460 (4.04%) to Rp11,840 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,040 (3.29%) to Rp30,540 per kg.
