Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Oil, Chicken, and Onions Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 10:23 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, red chilies, garlic bulbs, milkfish, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, medium rice, chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up by Rp2,550 (5.95%) to Rp45,400 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) saw the largest decrease, down by Rp310 (3.02%) to Rp9,970 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,850 per kg (down 1.19%)
