Indonesia's Food Price Update Today: Rice, Sugar, and Egg Prices Drop (Thursday, February 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (8/2/2024) at 14:35 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, broiler chicken, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, medium rice, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp250 (0.58%) to Rp43,190 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp710 (2.09%) to Rp33,280 per kg.
