Jakarta, DKI Region Food Prices (November 24th): Chili Pepper, Chicken, and Egg Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (24/11/2024) at 17.52 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 6 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, broiler chicken, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, mackerel, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,890 (7.76%) to Rp40,120 per kg. Bulk cooking oil prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp410 (2.39%) to Rp16,740 per liter.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,890 per kg (up 1.01%)
8. Mackerel: Rp34,760 per kg (down 0.57%)
9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp31,370 per kg (up 1.29%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,500 per kg (up 0.81%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,480 per liter (up 1.54%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,380 per kg (down 0.59%)
