Jakarta's Current Food Prices: Chili and Egg Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, medium-grain rice, broiler chicken, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp730 (6.72%), reaching Rp11,590 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,700 (4.67%), reaching Rp34,670 per kg.
