Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Sunday, February 25, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (25/2/2024) at 14:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, iodized fine salt, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, farmer-level corn, red chili peppers, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most by Rp1,250 (3.86%) to Rp33,660 per kg. Meanwhile, Indian mackerel prices decreased the least by Rp570 (1.53%) to Rp36,700 per kg.
