Red Onion Prices in Bali Increase by 13.76% in a Week

The price of shallots in Bali reached Rp 38,450 per kg on Monday, February 14, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, shallot prices in Bali increased by 13.76% within a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, however, shallot prices in this region are still lower by -15.21%.

Nevertheless, over the past year, shallot prices in Bali's modern markets have actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 52,450 per kg.

From January to February 2022, shallot prices in modern markets showed a downward trend, decreasing by -15.21% compared to the previous month.

Shallot prices reached their lowest point at Rp 33,800 per kg on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. The highest price reached was around Rp 46,100 per kg.

Nationally, shallot prices began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of shallots in modern markets was Rp 42,670 per kg, a 0.22% increase compared to the previous weekend.
