Indonesia's Thursday (November 14th) Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (14/11/2024) at 14.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, pure beef, skipjack tuna, shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp470 (1.29%) to Rp36,990 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp580 (2.01%) to Rp28,220 per kg.
